Spearhead collaborated closely with Field Architecture and the project consultant team to devise an off-site fabrication strategy for the entire timber and steel hybrid structure. Challenges posed by mature oak trees surrounding the building site were thoughtfully considered in the design process and played a crucial role in guiding the overall strategy. The sophisticated approach to digital fabrication and off-site component assembly significantly accelerated the project timeline and helped minimize construction impact on the landscape. Pinon Ranch marked Spearhead’s inaugural project with Field Architecture and laid the foundation for a thriving partnership.
