Spearhead played a significant role in the resolution and construction of this beachfront home in Hawaii, one of multiple endeavors with Olson Kundig. The project evolved through intensive collaboration, addressing the intricacies of large cantilevers and kinetic components, all while navigating the challenging logistics of building on the North Shore of Kauai. Spearhead’s efforts helped mitigate skilled labor shortages on the island by approaching the structure as a complete system – ultimately providing the heavy timber and structural steel, along with architectural components and pre-cut conventional framing elements.
